COX'S BAZAR ROHINGYIA CRISIS

Beginning in August 2017, more than 700,000 Rohingya refugees crossed the border between Myanmar and Bangladesh and sought refuge in Cox’s Bazar. Over a year later, Rohingya refugees continue to arrive in Bangladesh in much fewer numbers than the initial influx. Major efforts from the humanitarian Community were made to respond to the basic and urgent needs for this massive number of arrivals. Taking the aid further, providing dignified, safer, and longer-term services constitutes the next challenge in the area.
